Vocational learning is not just about learning work skills. It's also about learning how to learn, being employable, being work literate, and digitally ready for a new industry. Vocational teachers play a significant role in preparing learners to move from study to practice. If you are interested in learning how to prepare your learners well for their new career, you may be interested in this skill set.

This skill set covers skills and knowledge used to identify language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skill requirements of training and the work environment, and to use resources and strategies that meet the needs of the learner group. It includes demonstration of integrating foundation skills into vocational practice.

Most learners would require 10-12 hours per week on average for learning and assessment in addition to scheduled sessions. The typical time to complete this qualification is 4 - 6 months.

The skill set focusses on three units and one of these units may be used as an elective in the full qualification. If you wish to complete the full TAE40116, you will need to enrol separately for this.
